1080 Lofts was originally built as an ammunition box factory during World War II. The building was converted in 1991 into one of the original live/work buildings in Oakland. 1080 Lofts features 27 true live/work units for rent, with tenants ranging anywhere from residents, to artists and photographers, to architects. Units feature elements of the original "raw" lofts, as well as many amenities you would find in more traditional apartments.
